Number of Players:
8-40
Average Game Time:
5- 10 minutes
Materials:
Ball or other soft object
Description:
Learn the names of other team or release train members while exercising your collaboration and concentration skills in this quick active ice breaker.
Instructions:
-
The group stands in a circle
-
The facilitator says their name and then the name of who they are tossing the ball to "Emilia to Dorian" then tosses the ball to the next player "Dorian"
-
The next player catches the ball says their name and the name of the next person.
-
Repeat until all the players have caught the ball and are familiar with names.
Variations :
If you have a team that knows each other you can move the emphasis to collaboration and concentration with these variations:
-
Players say the player who they will toss to first then the name of who that player will toss to next. For example Morgan starts, he would say "Dorian to Emilia" to and toss the ball to Dorian, then Dorian would have to toss to Emilia naming the next player for Emilia to toss to, etc.
