Pirate Ship

Description:

This quick warm up helps team members to listen to each other, and build cohesion. ​​

Instructions:
  1. The facilitator explains on a pirate ship much like an agile team there are lots of jobs that we need to do as a team.

  2. The team forms a line 

  3. The facilitator then shouts a command and team to perform the activity associated with that command and go to various areas of the ‘ship’.

    • Commands include:

    • Captains coming - Salute 

    • Ball crossing - Duck

    • Swab the deck - mop the deck

    • Port - Go left 

    • Starboard - Go right 

    • Bow - Go to the front 

    • Stern - Go to the back 

  4. After 3 commands the facilitator then steps to the back and the next team member gives 3 commands

  5. Repeat until everyone has given a set of commands.

  6. Reflect.
